What kind of construction do you specialize in?

• At Home Renovations we take on all kinds of contracts! Everything from residential to commercial and all trades in between. There is never going to be a job too big or too small that we can’t handle. 

How long does a typical construction project take?

• Every project is completely different from the last. During our planning stage our designers and project managers will meet with you and give you solid estimates of how long your project may take. Project timeframes can depend on material lead times, availability, city processing times, and any other things that may come up. Through experience we have been able to provide good timeframe estimations, but never exact. Be confident that our team will always be pushing your project forward as quickly as we can!

How do you charge for projects? By the hour, job, etc.?

• There are multiple ways to get your project estimates. Your project manager will go over which one is right for you. The majority of our larger projects like kitchens, bathrooms, and remodels will be on a per job basis while smaller projects tend to be on a per hour/ day basis. 

Do you have your own crew or do you hire subcontractors?

• We use both! Our in house crew will always take over our rough trades. As tradesmen, we take pride in our work and want to make sure that everything is up to code before any walls get closed up. We create greensheets of our jobs and make sure that we have a digital footprint of what our projects look like, so that we can reference at any point throughout the project. Once our rough trades are done, we bring in our subcontractors in to work on our projects. Many trades are like artwork and I believe our tile, stone, and flooring subcontractors are artists that are being held up to the standards that we require. We use the exact same subcontractors for every single project, so although they may not be on payroll they are still just like family to our company. 

Who is responsible for getting the necessary permits?

• We are! We do everything that we can to make sure the remodeling process is as painless and stress-free as possible. Whether you use our in house architects/ engineers/ designers, or you get your own; once your plans are finished, we take care of the rest. We meet with the city and keep our clients up to date about every update, review, or completion that goes with your project. Everything is included in our contract price, the only item our clients reimburse us for is the actual price of the permit that we pay directly to the city. 

Do you offer free in-person estimates?

• We will always offer free in person estimate at no charge to you. You can email, call, on our information laid out below and we will make sure to be at your doorstep as early as same day if possible.

Do you offer any warranties or guarantees on the work you do?

• Like mentioned before we are extremely proud tradesmen and with that, we stand by our product. We have a 10 year warranty on any structural changes done to your home along w/ a 1 year warranty on any finishes. Normally by this time, we are able to notice any defects in installation. The product warranty will still apply to everything up to product specfications.
